You can lose all of your capital

Trading foreign exchange and contracts for difference carries a high level of risk. These products are not suitable for every investor. With leverage you can lose more than the amount you deposit. Do not trade with money you cannot afford to lose.

1. Leverage works in both directions

Leverage multiplies the size of your position relative to your deposit, which multiplies gains and losses equally. A small adverse move in the underlying market can wipe out a large portion of your account, and in fast markets a position can be closed out automatically before you have a chance to react.

2. Past performance predicts nothing

Historical results, back-tests, screenshots of profitable trades and example charts — whether ours or anyone else’s — are not a reliable indicator of future results. Treat any claim built on them with scepticism.

3. We do not manage money, and we do not guarantee returns

Burj Trades is an affiliate marketing and trading education business. We do not manage accounts, hold client funds, accept deposits or trade on anyone’s behalf. Every trade on your account is placed by you, and the outcome — profit or loss — is yours. Nobody at Burj Trades can promise you a return, and nobody honest in this industry would.

4. Education is not advice

Everything we publish is general information about how markets and instruments work. It takes no account of your circumstances, your capital or your objectives, and it is not a personal recommendation. Applying a concept you learned here to a live market is your decision and your risk.

5. Market gaps and extraordinary events

Markets gap over weekends, around economic releases and during geopolitical or liquidity events. A stop loss is an instruction, not a guarantee of price: in a gap, your position may close well beyond the level you set, producing a loss larger than you planned for.

6. Costs reduce returns

Spreads, commissions, overnight swap or financing charges, conversion costs and, in some cases, inactivity fees all reduce what you keep. Over an active trading month they are material. Read the broker’s fee schedule before you deposit, not afterwards.

7. Counterparty and platform risk

Your funds sit with the broker you choose, not with us. That broker’s financial soundness, the regulatory regime it operates under, the segregation of client money, the reliability of its platform and the way it handles withdrawals all affect you directly. Verify its licence with the regulator yourself, and understand what protection — if any — applies to your funds in your jurisdiction.

8. Introductions are not endorsements of outcome

We are paid by brokers when traders we introduce open an account, which we disclose in full in our Affiliate Disclosure. An introduction reflects a commercial relationship and our own assessment at the time; it is not a warranty about a broker’s future conduct or solvency, and it is not a substitute for your own research.

9. Only trade what you can afford to lose

Borrowed money, money you will need within a few months, and money you cannot genuinely stand to lose do not belong in a leveraged trading account. If losing the balance would change how you live, the position is too large or the account should not be funded at all.

10. Regulatory status

[REGULATORY STATUS STATEMENT]

State plainly whether the company holds any licence or registration, from which authority and under what number, and for which activities — or state clearly that it holds none and operates solely as a marketing and education business. Do not leave this vague.

11. Questions

If any of this is unclear, ask us before you act on anything: info@burjtrades.com. If you are in any doubt about whether trading is appropriate for you, seek independent advice from a licensed adviser in your own country.
